Sovereignty We, the people, maintain that we have never given up our position of sovereignty in this land, which has been handed down to us by our forefathers. It has always been the cornerstone of popular sovereignty that has kept this nation from crumbling into the governmental forms contrary to the people as are found in the various nations of the world, and we cannot, nor will we, relinquish it willingly. Further, as we realize that it was the several States that created the national government, and not the other way around, we recognize that the sovereignty of the States remains intact as well, and that all powers not delegated to the national government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States by it, are retained by the States and, or the people, as per the Ninth and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution. Therefore, we reject any and all encroachments by the national government upon the powers of the States, or the people of them, so that we may remain a people known for our liberties and our willingness to defend them at all cost.
